ETDA was established in Dili in 2000. It strives to strengthen the capacity of the Timorese people to earn a livelihood and therefore play an integral, active and co-ordinated role in the development of their Nation.
It is an independent, not-for-profit NGO that provides training and guidance in a range of vital areas. Led, managed and operated by East Timorese, ETDA is governed by a Board of Directors and also receives valuable professional advice from international peers who share their knowledge and skills with their Timorese colleagues.
Full DetailsI highly recommend ETDA for a casual lunch as, a function venue or for outside catering. Our program, Timor Awakening, has had many incredible meals at ETDA catering for 40 to 60 people, both set menu and buffet. The students provide a number of singing and dancing performances and the food and service is always first class. The catering is great value for money and its rewarding for all to support a non-profit training institution whilst having a great meal.
Fantastic food… fresh produce and wonderful service!
ETDA…the best one.
it is a good place for youth skills development in Timor Leste
Great training opportunity for locals to train In hospitality and English courses.
The East Timor Development Agency (ETDA), or Agencia de Desencoivimento de Timor-Leste has been known to be since its inception in 1999, when i was the President of CNRT(National Council of Timorese Resistance).
When, in August 2002, I made the final report of CNRT activities to the final CNRT congress, ETDA was one of the supporters i was pleased to mention, saying then that ‘o ETDA gere fundos concretos para actividades concretas’: ‘ETDA has received genuine funding for genuine activities’. Those activities have included organizing conferences, promoting consideration of development issues, and undertaking a major survey project within Timor-Leste.
ETDA has handled funding responsibly, and produced the expected outcomes, and I recommend them as development partners.
ETDA has to be the best restaurant and coffee spot in Timor-Leste. The food is top class, the barista made coffee would make George Clouney jealous and the well trained, friendly & professional staff make this the number one place in Dili to visit. Don’t deny yourself the opportunity to make a date.
