It is usually ETDA that hands out qualification awards to successful graduates – but this week the training institute received a very important award of its own.
Over the best part of 20 years, ETDA has been the agency of choice for Timorese students of all ages and backgrounds who want to improve their lives – and now there is an even more important reason to enrol.
The Timorese Government – through training regulator INDMO – has awarded ETDA accreditation status to make its popular Certificate III (Hospitality and Accommodation Services) and its Certificate of Administration fully recognised qualifications that will be accepted wherever the graduates choose to go.
If that wasn’t enough, ETDA also became the first training provider in Timor-Leste to gain the authority to award credits for RPL – Recognition of Prior Learning – to students who can provide proof of work experience: thus cut down their course-time and be employment-ready even sooner.
This is not only about training tomorrow’s Hospitality and Administration professionals – it is about Nation-building: ETDA teaches skills and values.
